Why Mental Health?
In 2017, the World Health Organization ranked India the most depressed nation in the world, where every hour a student takes their life. Yet, the silence surrounding suicide and depression is deafening. At The Hangout we have begun to address this pressing issue of mental health through phased sessions that aim to begin these difficult conversations and create a community that stands up and helps each other when in need.
